What is a SHA-256 hash?

How does verification work?

The SHA-256 hash is calculated locally in your browser. Your file never leaves your device.

We compare your file's fingerprint with timestamps recorded on the Bitcoin blockchain via OpenTimestamps.

If a match is found, you get the creation date, confirmation status, and link to the Bitcoin transaction.
